I will start by saying that I do like the program. Overall it has ease of use and a reasonable interface.

The issue is with publishing and the amount of time that it takes the developer to address issues.

If you charge (commercial enterprise) the product should perform or issues addressed in a timely manner. This is not the case with this software. The developer is aware of a bug that has not been addressed since the release of version 2.

The reason given is that they are a small two person company that is having a large amount of emails to address and they are swamped. Well, if you are charging a pretty fair amount ($40) for your product, you need to get more assistance and someone to problem solve the product.

Publishing is the issue in this case. I (and many others from what the dev tells me) cannot use this feature. My concern is putting a large amount of data into a program where one of the main features is non-functional is a concern.

My hope is that this company and product live up to their aspirations.

Since I posted before about not getting my upgrade key, wanted to confirm (as the Delicious team has posted here) that they did make good and today sent me my key, and an apology for the delay.

It really is a great program - the scanning from my iSight has been instantaneous. I wish them well on getting thru their growing pains and send thanks for a great piece of software.

Delicious Library CommentaryOur Support Woes - Version: 2.0, 6/16/2008 04:52PM PST

I apologize for the slowness of our support. Please understand that since we released version two our tiny company has been inundated with thousands and thousands of messages.

We are working every day to respond to each one. No message is lost. I have also added another support person to help us out, but it takes a while to get new people up to speed.

This is not normal for us -- for the last several years we have been very good about answering the vast majority of messages within two business days. I am as upset as you are at our inability to get back to our customers after this release.

Please have a little patience with us. We're not just lying on a beach sipping margaritas with all the money we made from our wonderful customers upgrading -- we are all working overtime and weekends to get the support mail under control.

Thank you,
-Wil Shipley
