Product Description:

dotMac Menu is the final key in your .Mac experience!

Tired of loading page after page to navigate through various sections? Don't want extra applications taking up precious Dock space? Want to know how your .Mac account and iDisk are doing without opening System Preferences and waiting time after time for it to load?

Add dotMac Menu and consolidate all this into a single gorgeous menu waiting patiently in your menubar to keep you in sync with all the facets of your .Mac usage.

dotMac Menu consolidates the various aspects of the .Mac experience into four simple categories:

  • .Mac Sections    - the various pages and sections of mac.com
  • .Mac Syncing    - applications from Apple that sync with .Mac/iDisk
  • iDisk Status       - quickly view your iDisk usage (as MB or %)
  • .Mac Expiration - know how many days until renewal at a glance

When clicked these items will open a .Mac login page where you will need to log in and once that's done you're there, no searching around required. The pages load in your default browser, such as Safari, and you can have Auto-Fill enabled to remove repetitive typing when you're working on your HomePage or sending cards to friends and family.

dotMac Menu is also network savvy and will work to make sure it adapts to changes in network settings or connection so you aren't distracted by popups, warnings, or issues with how it works.

dotMac Menu CommentaryConstantly asks for keychain access - Version: 2.7, 7/7/2007 04:14PM PST

I constantly get the messages "iDiskHelper, dotMacHelper & dotMacExpHelper wants to use keychain login". I found these items in the Resources folder of the dotMac Menu.menu Package Contents. dotMac Menu.menu residing, in turn in Library/Bundles. I tried everything I could think of to make it stop asking for keychain access to no avail. Finally got tired of typing a password so uninstalled this program. Too bad because it has some useful features.

DotMac menu is a simple, but very useful menu item. It installs easily (notwithstanding comments below) and works well. Apple should have provided this...

This is a great app. My only question is where is the iCal published calendar menu item? Hope it is included in future releases.
