Ford Racing 2 ReviewGreat game! - Version: 1.0.1, 8/18/2006 05:28AM PST

Hard to believe this game got so many negative reviews...

I really love this game! It took a few to get used to it's version of racing physics, but once I started to get it, it started to get more fun for me. I imagine that a wheel setup would be very good for this game, but I'm just not that much into gaming to have/want one.
All (most) of the cars stear/handle/sound quite different, as opposed to other racing games where only the cars skin changes. Some cars are better for some tracks (as in reality), and it's a pretty neat challenge finding which cars react best on a track.

The only drawback that I've seen is the VERY annoying requirement of unlocking/collecting cars/tracks. I like the ability to cheat in games, and this doesn't allow you to...but that's the only drawback I see.

Boy you must have something wrong with you dual 1.8, the game runs smooth on my dual 2.0 and the graphics are as good as grand turismo on the ps2. The control is a bit too sensitive though with a logitech rumble pad 2. But it is a fun game. I bought the full version and do not regret it at all. Its a very fun game. with fsaa turned on to 4x the game looks wonderful. The engine sound on the gt is a bit dissapointing but most of the cars have very good engine sounds.

After I ran the installer, I went to the Applications folder to look for it, but it wasn't there. I had already deleted the installer, so I downloaded it again and was told for the second time that it was successfully installed. Still no "Ford Racing" anywhere in the Applications folder.

Running a search from the finder, the results showed it was indeed in the Applications folder. Yet another look in the folder, and it wasn't there.

Weird.
