A slight bug, me thinks...

When I started JSW for the first time and hit enter to start the game, Willy immediately started walking left without me pressing any keys. I can stop Willy moving left by pressing the move right key (right arrow I assume) and I can jump but I cannot move right! Only leaves three screens to play and when Willy enters the nightmare room, poor little bugger gets zapped all the time!

Why does it request admin password to install? - Version: 1.0.6a, 11/3/2004 03:26PM PST

Because it installs a library in /usr/local/lib.
Note to developer: why can't this be kept in the Resources folder of apps package?
Why does it have a data.ini file in there though? Surely this should be in the users preferences folder. Otherwise having it where it is means a non-admin user can't run the game.

As noted in other reviews, there is no reason I can think of that I have to enter my administrator password to run this.

Why does a remake of a simple 8-bit game need an installer and administrator rights. According to Apple's guidelines, unless there's a compelling reason to use an installer, programs should be distributed as an application bundle on a disk image.
No offense, but I don't know you. I can't fathom why your game would need an installer and I'm not giving it admin rights to my machine.

Took me 3 attemps to download the installer, the zip file was corrupted.
When trying to start the app. you get a "Could not load data" error.
Shame, I'm looking forward to this.
Also please can we have Manic Miner

First file would n't open on my G5. Managed to download the file second time round using the lower link and right clicking and saving file to my hard drive.
Worth a look if you liked the original, looks very dated now though.

Echoing an earlier feedback, this does not open on my PowerBook running 10.3.5. And yes, I re-downloaded it following the developer's note that it was fixed.
