Quality should trump interfacing with other Mac software--but not here

Bug persists... - Version: 2.2.3, 2/7/2006 10:32AM PST

The "take back move" bug remains—after moving a piece and selecting to take back the move, that moved piece can't be selected. If you wanted to move a single piece first 5 and then 3 (say, to hit an opponent's piece en route), and you accidentally move it first 3 instead, you can't correct this mistake.
I love Freeverse, but honestly...

It pains me to say this, but the game play is WAY too slow and far too simplistic. It's like playing backgammon with my 7-year-old. No, I take that back out of fairness to my kid. It's just too easy. It's a fine diversion when the staff meeting goes too long, but it's no good for anyone even marginally serious about playing a good, quick-paced game of backgammon. :-(
For the record, I'm rating it down on Ease of Use because it's so slow that it's difficult to use and on Features because it doesn't feature at least an option for more difficult opponents. These flaws lead to a markdown for Price.

I didn't pay for this game--it came for free with my Mac. You get what you pay for.
