Product Description:

CMYK Production + is a 'robot': a batch application that will perform on images everything needed to produce top quality CMYK files, ready to deliver... for printing.

Automation

Example: selected digital camera images, 72dpi JPEG
- resize to a desired resolution, eg. 300 dpi
- resample to a desired size, eg. 105mm width
- color correction as defined in a pre-set module, including:
black and white points, brightness and contrast, color saturation and smart sharpening
- conversion to the selected RGB, Grayscale or CMYK ICC Profile
- conversion to the desired file format, eg. EPS/JPEG
- save files to selected folder

Quality

Top quality is achieved using state of the art algorithms including: resampling, sharpening, color correction and ICC conversion, but the most impressive part is the CMYK Profile Optimisation using a binuscan proprietary technology: starting from the same color space, the CMYK separation table is recalculated to print more accurate colors, images with more modeling on the offset print (with a contour-defining cyan plate), and an ink saving option especially useful for large format printing.

One of the best RGB to CMYK softwares out there, its simple to use and the results are better then what I can achieve in Photoshop. I picked it up the day after trying out the software, and im super happy with the results.

    CMYK Production + ReviewVery helpful - Version: 2.0, 8/2/2005 10:36AM PST

    I tried and bought.
First I tried Photo Perfect Digi Cam from the same company and it similar but no CMYK option but the images comes out very nice. The enhancment is really good.
Now I tried this CMYK Production software.
First I only used to convert images to my CMYK profiles and the result is better than in Photoshop. I do not understand how this software can do that??? It is simply more accurate to the RGB original. With the same ICC profile!!??
Then I discovered that this software had the same, or even better, features for enhancing the images before converting them to press, then the Photo Perfect.
So I can now trash my Photo Perfect. No big deal though, only 30-40 euro.
    Anyway, good stuff.
And it is automatic. I have tried to create similar auto features in Photoshop but I cant get any consistancy in it. But this work.
    Try for yourself.

I think it is really good. Not that I would trash Photoshop but not I can simple let this little software do the boring stuff.
I litterary went swimming with my kid when this software did a hole magazine for me (the prepress part).
I only touched a few images in Photoshop afterwards.
Impressive and the CMYK are much better than before.
I used my good old press profile but clicked "optmize profile" and now the yellow is clean etc.
    Cool.
