New Development? - Version: 1.0, 7/22/2006 09:40AM PST

Is this product dead in the water or what? Not even an incremental bug-fix release has been issued in over a year now. It's a pity, but all indications are that development has ceased -- with the inaugural release of version 1.0.
DOES NOT RUN ON MacBook Pro

This may run great on G4's - but it halts the MacBook Pro.

Hello!
Nice tool for people with low ambitions. NOT usable for (amateur) webdesigners, because it changes your code and you have to open the file in another editor to correct it again.
If I want to edit a fragment of a webpage, which is included into the whole page via PHP later (=standard today), it won't let me save the document without adding <head>- and <body>-tags so the complete page would have multiple <head>- and <body>-tags.
I don't need a program that forces me to have errors in my code.
But nice try, though.

crashed after 2 minutes of use, and screwed up my keyboard as suddenly the space bar stopped working. I had to restart my Mac to fix that.

I have done many searches in the past for a wysiwyg html editor for the mac. However until now there has not been any except the pro type like Dreamweaver, etc. And for what i wanted I could not justify the price. Now there is NVU and life is good. I have not seen any crashes or any other types of problems. I used it to write about 50 auctions over the holidays and it worked great. Thank you soooo much for developing this software. I will keep track of this one and definately watch for updates. THANKS!!!
Nice program but not extremely stable - Version: 1.0, 11/16/2005 02:59PM PST

NVu is a great program. It can do lots of things, has a preview, source window, does publish sites and the whole lot (only CSS needs to be done e.g. with Simple CSS) I used NVu with 10.3.8 and 10.4.3 and with both it crashes quite often, with Tiger even more so.... That's the downside which an update will hopefully change soon.
Extremely grateful for all of the work that went into Nvu

I haven't found an html authoring WYSIWYG that I liked since Claris Homepage. This program combines ease of use with pretty good performance. I am very eager to see some improvements in stability. On OS X.4 I still have to quit and reopen it quite a bit and sometimes it freezes.
Still, I am very excited about this program and have to thank the author for all the work. Donate to his project!

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I have Dreamweaver, but needed something less buggy and faster to compose quick HTML emails. It works pretty much like Mozilla/Netscape Composer but without all the unnecessary garbage.
Great application!

So, this has just made my day. This is like "Contribut Light" - I love it. I certainly hope this remains a free product. Now I will actually be able to build sites for people and actually be able to recommend a piece of software for them to administrate it with that they will not have to pay for! I love it!
