Palm Doc Converter Troubleshooting ReportFix For v1.9.5 DiskCopy Error: - Version: 1.9.5, 8/23/2006 09:47AM PST

zunipus
Having consulted with the developer of Palm Doc Converter, he has kindly posted a fix for those with Mac OS X 10.2.8 and below who are unable to successfully open the disk image of v1.9.5.

The original image was created on an Intel Mac with MOSX 10.4. Apparently the current version of 10.4 for that Mac has a bug where created disk images require 10.3 and above to open them.

If you are having DiskCopy throw an error when opening the disk image, this fixed image should solve the problem:

Palm Doc Converter Troubleshooting Reportv1.9.5 Disk Image Error - Version: 1.9.5, 8/23/2006 05:22AM PST

I am sorry to report that I am finding it impossible to open the disk image of the latest version of PalmDocConverter, v1.9.5. I have downloaded copies via VersionTracker as well as directly from the developer's website with the same results:

<http://lokisw.com/download.php/en/PalmDocConverter195.dmg>

Here is the error message I get from DiskCopy:

' "PalmDocConverter.dmg" failed to mount due to error 95. (no mountable file systems)'

This is occurring on a PowerBook Wall Street with G4 500 MHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, Mac OS X 10.2.8, with Disk Copy 10.2.5. I have checked Disk Copy with other .DMG files without error.

I have notified the developer.

This application has a much better interface than its competitors, and it (and the readers on the Palm) are much free-er too!

This is the app I've been waiting for, very nice.
