nothing works, freezes the mac, can't force quit , lose everything that is not saved !

I captured a 4 minute movie on a dual 2.7 G5, and the program hung on saving. Very slow, poor user interface, and runs in the background so the menu force quit didn't show the program. I had to open a terminal window and use the "kill" command to get the frozen program off the screen.
Needs a lot of work before it is ready for prime time!

Well it's been about an hour or more and the saving to disk of my one minute movie is still chugging along. Only about 25% more to go!

This software seems pretty cool but what on earth could possibly be taking the sofware so long to convert a very short movie capture?
I recorded about a one minute movie on my G5 dual 2.5 with 6 gigs of ram and after about 15 minutes it us still not 50% complete with saving the movie. I realize that it has to do some conversion processing but these seems insanely slow. I can convert an hour of digital video footage with Apple's compressor sofware quicker than this! I am beginning to think that maybe it's locked up my finder.
Also, is there a way to capture sounds? I would like to hear simulated mouse clicks.
