BluePhoneElite CommentaryGoogle Voice integration?! - Version: 2.2.1, 7/28/2009 01:19PM PST

libertyforall1776
How about adding some Google Voice integration?! That would rock, and generic SIP dialer functionality...

BluePhoneElite Reviewif u have a macbook(Pro), get this! - Version: 2.1.1, 2/23/2009 01:34PM PST

have been using BPE since earliest days, and with a macbook Pro n Nokia N 95 & 73 & 6310, this is just cellphone heaven, what a lovely couple!
great interaction, dashboard in menu, notification, plus an email center just like apple's Mail.
Use yr macbook to send sms, use yr macbook to read them ! no fiddling with mini buttons etc.
almost prefer to use SMS over email now ! hehe
great developer, attentive and good follow up of the suggestions we made over the years

BluePhoneElite ReviewFine little app - Version: 2.1, 2/10/2009 03:13AM PST

I've been using it for a while with my SonyEricsson k510i and OSX 10.5.6. It works fine, several useful features, stable and responsive, does everything it promises, no major drawbacks. Laks a function to get rid of logs. Of course you can go to the finder and delete it, but a "clear" command, as in skype, would help

BluePhoneElite ReviewDeveloper doing good job - he's not the one needing a 'kick' - Version: 2.0.10, 5/25/2008 07:26AM PST

I've used BPE from v1-v2. It's a nice little app. Hopefully it will also gain full iPhone support in future - with the new iPhone SDK. I'm not sure why the prior reviewer was so harsh about BPE. The application works fine for me on Leopard and a MacBook Pro.

I've been using Bluephone for over 2yrs. I love what the program can do - in theory.

In practice, it seems to be getting worse to use with every upgrade. V2 is slow, to the point of being almost unusable at times. It hangs regularly, or fails to send messages. More often than not it won't even force quit, and requires a restart to get back to normal.

I think it's fair to say that if someone is using their Mac to send text messages, it's because they want to send large volumes of texts quickly. So why on earth isn't it possible to start writing a new text whilst one is sending? Why does any kind of message (delivery notification or error) require the user to stop what they're doing and click "OK" before anything else can happen? Why is it not possible for incoming texts to disappear after a set period of time, without having to be clicked on?

There's been too much bloat added to this program. I don't care about advanced features, I'm even less concerned about eye-candy, I just want to be able to knock out as many texts in as little time as possible.

I would pay twice as much for a program which has Bluephone's basic feature set but works properly and efficiently. If the developer can't step up to this challenge, please could somebody else?

BluePhoneElite ReviewGets better & better - Version: 2.0.6, 2/18/2008 12:00AM PST

I have been a BPE user for a few years, when v2 first came out I found the transition from v1 difficult, I'd tested the beta's and always reverted back to v1. When v2 went final I made the switch, it is a different program to v1 but I now very much prefer it and would never go back, each update has made v2 a better and more robust application. I just updated to 2.0.7 which isn't on VT yet and am very happy. I first turned to BPE as the SMS function in address book wasn't compatible with my Razr, several phones later & I couldn't imagine not having BPE.

BluePhoneElite ReviewI'm very impressed - Version: 2.0.6, 2/17/2008 12:00AM PST

Andreas S.
Hello.

I just tried it and I think it is on of the best application of its art.
I had a closer look on PhoneDirector and FoneLik for example, but BuePhoneElite is really, really strong and functional.

I use it together with my Noia N76 and it works perfect - it's simple a Mac application it should be.
Yes, I think I will buy it before the trail period is finished.

Regards,
Andreas.

this app is so ugly and counter-intuitive compared to it's pre- 2.0 versions.
