Couldn't run the current version. Always get Applescript error.
Also, why is the version number unchanged from the prior version of 6 months ago?
I went back to the old version and it still works.
Useful but worse than competition

This appears to do the exact same thing as "Preferential Treatment", but the other program has a better designed, less confusing interface.
The main problem here is a confusing non-standard interface. Apparently when I check a checkbox it runs the test. These should just be changing options, not actually running the thing! In the meantime, had I not wanted to change any options, I might not have been able to find out how to actually run the test!
Still, competition is good -- keep working at it.

3 people using OS X 10.2.8 have experienced a script error while using PrefCheck v2.x
The error occurs when PrefCheck tries to open the editor to display the results of the test.
If you experience this problem please e-mail me and I will e-mail you another version of PrefCheck I have written specifically for users that are experiencing this problem until I can figure out what is causing it. This version of PrefCheck has all the features of the current version, but displays the results in a Terminal window instead of an editor.
Also, v2.2 coming out soon!

trouble with unstuffing - Version: 2.0, 9/26/2004 04:34PM PST

StuffIt Expander 7.0.3 (on 10.0.3) created a 5MB(!) recursive hierarchical directory when unstuffing the archive. First time that's ever happened with any StuffIt archive . :-o
