If you have any problems / issues / usage tips and you contact them directly... their response time is excellent. With the upgrades on the viJournal Lite, it still continues to be a good product.

I think viJournal Lite is awesome. It's very easy to use. The help manual is written in easy to understand terms. I'm also impressed with the security. Thank you for a great app.

viJournal Lite Troubleshooting Reportneed to exclude viJournal in ApE - Version: 1.6.7, 6/23/2006 10:54AM PST

If the 2 posters below are using Application Enhancer (and haxies like Silk, Fruit Menu, Shape Shifter, etc.), try adding viJournal to the master exclude list (or add it to each haxie's list one at a time, to troubleshoot/determine whether it's just one of them).

Worked for me.

viJournal Lite Troubleshooting ReportCan't create an entry - Version: 1.6.6, 6/19/2006 12:10PM PST

When I hit the 'Create' button, the dialog box sits there stubbornly, mocking me. The journal directory has write permissions; there are no error messages I can find. The only non-standard thing I did was to immediately create a new journal and delete the default one before attempting to create an entry.

Issue persists across multiple starts of the app.

This is a great little app. Stable and simple to use. My only complaint -- since I have this app in my Dock -- is that the icon is kind of ugly.

This app has class and is also extremely secure.

If / when I need more features, I won't hesitate
to upgrade to its bigger brother. Thanks again.

viJournal Lite CommentaryCouldn't save - Version: 1.5.1, 3/25/2005 07:21AM PST

I really liked what I saw when I first downloaded and ran the program, but after I re-named my journal and typed my first entry, it wouldn't save. Said that I might not have permission to write for the chosen directory.

So, I checked my permissions, and tried putting the directory in a couple of different places, and still no luck.

Since this renders the program useless, I can't recommend it. If there's a way around this I'd sure like to know about it... I would definitely use this app, and would consider upgrading to the shareware version.
