Somewhere deep within a dark forest, where once there was a small village, is a forgotten place. Nothing left now, but a few scattered markers, most of the names have eroded away. Evil deeds took place here, and even the passing of centuries can't erase the pain and suffering that has soaked into the ground like blood.

Bonez ScreenSaver Usage TipDoes and LCD screen need a screen saver? - Version: 1.3.2, 10/12/2008 06:08AM PST

looking4help
Not really. CTR displays used a phosphor-based technology that were stimulated by an electron beam to make a colored display. When an image was on the screen too long the phosphors would sometimes "burn out" with the constant energy and leave that ghastly image on the screen commonly called "BURN IN".

An LCD screen uses a completely different technology, (liquid crystals that are charged and illuminated with a backlight). Charging the liquid crystals actually reduces the screen life by using the backlight.

An LCD screen can sometimes get what is called "IMAGE PERSISTENCE" which kinda creates a ghost image on the screen. This is usually only a temporary problem which can be easily fixed by creating a background that is completely white and have the screen display that for a few hours with the brightness turned way down (saving the backlight).

In my book, using a screen saver on an LCD screen is actually a screen destroyer.

Sorry, it's just lame. Not scary, not funny, not well animated nor rendered. Just lame.
