Problem with Wordpress weblogs... - Version: 2.2.2, 1/11/2009 04:46PM PST
decadence
which the developer is not fixing.
There are hidden illegal characters in MarsEdit posts which crash the Wordpress XML-RPC interpreter, making it impossible to post to my Wordpress weblogs for the last six months.
For some reason, fixing this is not a priority with Daniel.
So I am unable to use this software which I paid for for more than six months.
Be careful.

What MarsEdit needs is really simple WYSIWYG. i.e. sort of WYSIWYG.
Daniel, you don't need to offer all the tags in your WYSIWYG, neither to add nor to display. Just don't delete our custom tags when you switch (an Ecto bugbear throughout version 1 & 2 - not sure about version 3) views between HTML and WYSIWYG.
Bold, italic, lists, code, pre. That about covers what we need from the WYSIWYG. The fancy stuff we will do in HTML for ourselves.
Approached that way, I don't think it would very difficult to add a simplified WYSIWYG mode.
Get it done.
Please.

Thank you so much for releasing this update. As a user of Tumblr, I find this app to be priceless.
