Tickershock CommentaryAny chance on opening this up so the community can further it's development? - Version: 2.0, 11/23/2008 09:44AM PST

For the life of me I can't find a decent rss ricker for OS X anywhere. I've tried them all and they either crash or have been abandoned to an eternal Rosetta existence. Is there any chance the developer might donate the code to the open source community in order to pump this tool up to leopard suaveness and speed? I'd be happy to spearhead the initiative. Or maybe it's simply time to bust out the Xcode.

Tickershock ReviewNo - Version: 1.3, 3/4/2007 05:32AM PST

Seems to work at first, but it crashes after a while, and it definately eats your channels. The UI is stupid about changes (saving changes is a nightmare), but even if you survive that: I just lost about 100 feed definitions after a crash.

Tickershock CommentaryWell... - Version: 1.2, 6/17/2005 10:53AM PST

I don't really see what everyone is raving about here. Perhaps I'm being overly critical because I just spent an hour configuring this thing only to have it crash on me and revert to the default settings and colors... But I think a lot of people will go slightly crazy from having this thing slide across the screen at all times. After a while of it I got the same feeling I got when descending the never ending spiral staircase to the catacombs in paris. When you are finally down, you are no longer able to walk in a straight line. After using Tickershock you are no longer able to sit on your chair without the risk of falling off.
I also found that Tickershock wouldn't parse the feeds from 2 out of 4 websites I tried at all, but that is probably the fault of the weblogs I read and not this app.

I registered this app today and had some minor problems and the developer was right there to help me and solve the problems I had configuring some feeds in the person of "Danny". These are great people and deserve support. The app is well designed and a pleasure to use. 5 stars for sure!!!

This one beats all the rest. I have licenses for them and have been emailing the authors, telling them, in essence, that their app needs to look like this one.
