Product Description:

FinderSync keeps track of the windows that are open in the Finder and listens for changes in the filesystem. When a folder changes, the Finder is informed so it can immediately update the affected window(s). Although the Finder is definitely better about updating its windows than it was prior to 10.3, there are still some cases where it can use some help. For the most part, you won't notice FinderSync running because it seems completely natural.

What's new in this version:

  • Added French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish localisations for the preference pane.
  • Closed bug #78 because the sole user that had reported it has not seen it since the 1.0.1 release.
The only changes were adding the localisations, so English users don't need to upgrade.

I install this on every workstation and server I get me hands on. One of the best out there in my opinion. Have never had any issues going on 50 installed units.

Faceless. Invisible. Functional. As it should be.
I've found only one small bug -- while running, FinderSync prevents you from ejecting a disk image while there are finder windows open on it.

FinderSync Developer NoteSystem Preferences crash fixed - Version: 1.0, 9/23/2004 08:51AM PST

The crash when open the pref pane was caused by a bug in some code provided by Apple (the LoginItem API). It would fail to read login items that had non-ASCII characters in the path name. Thus, only users who had certain login items installed would experience the a crash. The new version 1.0.1 fixes this--fortunately the API is provided as code by Apple and could be fixed.
