Return of the King - 1.0

This is a great game on the X-box (which I don't own.) The Aspyr version has much better graphics. Game play is analogous to using the keyboard and mouse. However, iShockII (and presumably other GamePads) do not work natively with the game. Aspyr tech support made the following statement, "I can tell you that The Lord of the Rings™; The Return of the King™ doesn't support gamepad or joystick play."

The reply from tech support was frustrating because the manual clearly indicates GamePad integreation with diagrams and tables. Moreover, the application automatically identifies by name the iShockII controller and facilitates customization of the controls. The problem is that characters will only walk when using the analog joystick controller, which condition makes it impossible to finish levels.

It is possible to map all game functions to the keyboard and then map the GamePad to keys using the appropriate utility. However this is a klugey workaroud and results in minor difficulties with game play.
