... but an important reason why I upgraded was because of the widget. And this widget doesn't work at all. I have installed it on two Macs, but nothing happens when I enter a word in it.

If such a common word as 'nevertheless' is (still) missing from the dictionary, what words that I might actually want to look up are also missing?
Ultralingua is the only OS X dictionary I'm aware of, and they deserve credit for that. But its definitions are really not all that good. Merriam-Webster's on-line dictionary, even the part of it that is free, does a better job.

I have using ULTRALINGUUA for long time. It is the richest and most precise, fast and reliable dictionary software existing in computer realm.
Although I am using it in Demo mode still ULTRALINGUA is much better than, for example, the most recent Meriam-Webster dictionary (in Mac 8-9 "phase" still?!).
