All the praise is nice, but... - Version: 1.4.6, 1/26/2009 01:59AM PST

Sorry to throw a clinker in amidst all the high praise, but I can't even get the thing to launch. Double-click it, it just sits there. I came back to VersionTracker to make sure I hadn't overlooked a 10.5 requirement, but no, it's supposed to work with 10.4 too.
A handy tool

Calq always comes to help whenever you need to quickly multiply/divide(/add/subtract) a short serie of numbers.
It is NOT a powerful scientific calculator (and I believe its authors did not intend it to be so). But it does its job really neatly!
Just press CMD+Option+C and there it pops up from nowhere! And after you're done, just press ESC (or copy the rsult in the clipboard) and it glides away as it came.
The settable preferences are not too much nor too few - they're just what you need.
The small icon in the menu bar takes away as little space as needed (something important if you have a 12" iBook and LOTS of applications which show up in the same bar!).
AND it comes for FREE!
Great job, guys!
I do really recommend this app to anyone who needs it (so, practically anyone - full stop)!

Once I figured out how to make it work, I was able to execute some calculations.
OK, I'll agree, it is more convenient and quicker than Apple's Calculator, but I will probably not use it:
- My menu bar is already too crowded when I am using certain apps.
- I don't like having to click a menu, then select an action from the menu.
- Give me something that sits in the dock and is there when I click it
But for the sake of others, how about a little description of where it shows up and how to use it?
