PDFLab ReviewWorks for me! - Version: 2.0.3r2, 11/7/2009 08:20AM PST

mrdreger
I am a teacher and have no need for heavy duty pdf software. My job sometimes requires me to combine or rearrange pages of pdf files. This app gets the job done and it is freeware. I have computers running Tiger and Leopard so the updated Preview in Snow Leopard does not help me (yet!)

PDFLab CommentaryYou don't need this software if you are running Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) - Version: 2.0.3r2, 3/21/2008 11:52AM PST

If you are using this software simply to merge and/or rearrange pages of PDFs, you don't need this software. You can just use the native Mac OS software "Preview" for this function. In Leopard you can get Preview to merge and rearrange pages. Just drag your separate PDFs to the preview sidebar, arrange as desired by dragging, then save-as... wha-la, you've got your new PDF.

PDFLab ReviewGreat! - Version: 2.0.3r2, 1/22/2008 12:00AM PST

I have been using it for a long time now, I find it really useful, much easier than the terminal based version there is on all unixes and whose name I have now forgotten, since you are not using that kind of gadget everyday, I remember I had to read once again the manual for the text based version while this GUI is so easy you do as you feel and it's the right thing to do. I had to reinstall it though when I upgraded to Leopard, just erased it and reinstalled. If I will find myself using it like once a month, I'll donate for sure.

PDFLab Troubleshooting ReportLeopard compatibility??? - Version: 2.0.3r2, 11/3/2007 09:37AM PST

I'm having problems getting it to work under Leopard 10.5.

PDFLab loads, but can't add files without hanging up. Anyone else having a problem on Leopard?

Other than this, it has been a GREAT program. Try it and please make a donation if you find it as useful as so many of us have.

It's been a little buggy over the years but is a WONDERFULLY USEFUL piece of SW whose value-added features are unparralleld in any other PDF managing utility I've used. I've been using it for well over a year or two now and absolutely love it. HIGHLY Recommended ! :-)

PDFLab ReviewExcellent software - Version: 2.0.3r2, 6/25/2007 08:54AM PST

A most excellent piece of software. It is just what I needed. I had an old Adobe Illustrator 9 (MacOS 9.2.2 Classic) two page document that I needed to print double sided on a Xerox Phaser 8560 color printer. Unfortunately there is no print driver, that I can find or that Xerox knows of, that will give me the double sided printing and other features of the printer. I printed each of the pages separately to a ps file in Classic using Illustrator. Then I used PDFLab to make the two docs into one doc and printed them with Preview to the Phaser.

Thanks for the tool!

Cheers

PDFLab Troubleshooting ReportGreat product...watermarking doesn't work - Version: 2.0.3r2, 6/18/2007 08:54PM PST

I've really enjoyed using this product. It is incredibly easy to use and is quite comprehensive in it's features. Unfortunately, one feature I can't get to work is the watermarking feature. Neither text or image watermarks seem to show up.

PDFLab ReviewVery useful - Version: 2.0.3r2, 6/15/2007 06:14AM PST

Very useful and stable, but it seems that the development is not fully compliant with Apple guidelines: utilities such as Default folder do not work

PDFLab ReviewWorks on my Intel iMac - Version: 2.0.3r2, 5/19/2007 12:15PM PST

CalBear92
I just downloaded this and tried it for the first time and it worked perfectly on my Intel iMac. I used it to combine two PDFs produced from Word.

The only issue was the disk image I downloaded via VersionTracker was corrupted (it wouldn't mount). I went to the developer's web site and downloaded it again and then everything worked.
