Can't log in? Here's how to fix it. - Version: 2.8.0.851, 4/7/2010 03:47PM PST

I haven't been able to use Skype for a few versions now. I had a little time this evening so I decided to give it another go. I finally found the fix.
Skype has OK instructions on their site:
https://support.skype.com/faq/FA10038/I-am-having-trouble-signing-into-Skype-for-Mac-what-can-I-do?frompage=search&q=connection+problems
I ended up having to delete the entire Skype folder inside the Application Support folder, not just the one file they suggested. But after doing so, Skype began working again. I'm very pleased, as it's a great business tool and useful for communicating with friends and family, too.
Here is the folder I deleted, for those that don't want to read the link above:
~/Library/Application Support/Skype/

Every stinking time on 10.5.7 Intel. Worthless. I've downgraded back to 722. I recommend Skype, but not this poorly tested version. Always rename your previous version and don't overwrite it.
If you forget your password, you can't just see it, even if it's there.
It's the only application which does so.
