Product Description:

It has long been known that Tinnitus is not caused by sounds originating in the ear. Recent innovations in medical imaging techniques have made it possible to show that Tinnitus sounds are generated by activity in the auditory neural system in the brain. However, the exact nature and cause of this activity has not yet been determined.

The striking similarities between the Tinnitus sounds and the sounds produced by positive feedback in electronic circuits suggest that Tinnitus is caused by positive feedback between neurons in the sound-processing portion of the brain.

All learning takes place by weakening some and strengthening other axon connections in the brain.

The TinnitusTamer uses sequences of special sounds and silent periods. When you listen to these sounds they retrain the neural networks in your brain by first weakening, and then eliminating the positive feedback that creates the Tinnitus.

Thus, the TinnitusTamer uses the resources of your own body to take care of the Tinnitus in a natural way.

What's new in this version:

  • Version 3.0.5 introduces a feature to make it easier to make precise frequency adjustment. When any of the three frequency sliders is clicked or moved, the frequency corresponding to the touched slider repeats for 20 seconds. Any time the slider is clicked or moved again, the repeat time is reset to 20 seconds from the last click or move.
  • The main window has been updated to make it easier to read with the new (darker) metallic grey used in the current version of OS X 10.5. The labels of the Play and Pause buttons have been changed to ease identification of the state they are in.
  • The ability of Tinnitus Tamer Window to remain in the background when another window is selected in the Finder, which was lost in OS X 10.5, has been restored.

Is this that new male enhancement I've been hearing about, well I really didn't hear about it because I've had this really bad ringing in my ears for 17 years.

I have followed all of the instructions and guidance for this application. Nothing! No results! Nada! Now, the developer wants me to pay for a new version because I have 10.6 running when his app is 32 bit anyway. No need to update unless you feel generous. It works fine in version 3.0.6 So, what I would like to see is some INDEPENDENT verifiable third party (got it yet?) that this application actually works. I mean really. I have 747 loud tinnitus and this application is worthless. It is, by far, the worst money I have ever spent for an application. Would I recommend this application? NOT ON YOUR LIFE!!!

Bottom line for some of us suffering from tinnitus...it works! If you don't actually suffer from tinnitus - - why are you even commenting about this application? Go find your own illness software to critique. Pimple Popper or Noob Neutralizer or Microcephaly Mender or whatever.
