Music Man ReviewTHIS one works!... - Version: 2.7, 8/10/2008 12:07PM PST

I tried a BUNCH of various different utilities and programs to convert some .wma files to .mp3 and this one was the ONLY one that worked! True, the interface is a bit odd (for example, now that I’ve converted the 17 files I wanted to do, there is apparently NO way to delete them from the "Convert" window list) but, heck, it did what I wanted, so, a big "thumbs up" from me!!

Music Man Reviewconverts flac files to mp3 - Version: 2.7, 3/31/2008 04:36PM PST

I use Music Man to convert flac, wav and ogg files to mp3. I select CONVERT in the menu because I want to convert. The next window says "Drag and drop any item from the Finder, that you want to convert, into this area". It's obvious what I have to do so I drag and drop files and folders into the appropriate big box. I select the format and the destination. I go do something else and after a short time, the files are converted. I edit the information to add the artist and album.

I do not understand why some people insist the software is not intuitive. There is no need to be intuitive. There is a menu and also one-sentence instructions on screen.

I am not a rocket science but i am also not an idiot. I just follow the instructions.

This is the best software to convert flac, ogg and other formats. If there is something better, I have not found it and I used almost everything on the market.

Music Man ReviewThe only thing it is good for is burning MP3 CDs - Version: 2.1, 8/23/2007 11:05AM PST

I think the only thing it is good for is burning MP3 CDs, everything else you go in iTunes or with the Finder.
But it seems to be the only software the automatically converts AAC files to MP3 when you want to burn a MP3 CD.

But when it burns the MP3 CD it would be nice if it would keep the order of the Playlist I thought the option "Preserve order by pre-pending sequence numbers."
But it still does not quite what I would expect it does something but not the order of my iTunes playlist.

The user interface could also be a lot better, its not very intuitive and feels old.

If the software would cost something between 5 and 10 $ or the GUI would be better and more options on the MP3 burning I might pay for it, but like this I think I will continue to convert the files myself in iTunes its just more work.
