Product Description:

QuickTunes is an easy to use, easy to run, iTunes plugin. Just double click the icon and you have a nice little menu displaying the current iTunes song. Click on the menu and access extra commands for iTunes. QuickTunes also includes customizable hotkeys to access iTunes features at the click of a button from any application. Depending on your particular customization, QuickTunes will pop up a floating window that displays current song info as well as album art. QuickTunes Usage TipUse in combination with Butler and you have it all - Version: 2.3.0, 7/20/2006 12:59AM PST

Install Butler and you will have full access to the iTunes Library and Playlists, including hotkeys for play/pause, next/previous track, volume and info (even rating hotkeys). Coupled with QuickTunes you get the constant display of the song/artist without having to punch hotkeys.

QuickTunes ReviewNot too shabby - Version: 2.3.0, 7/19/2006 11:51PM PST

Only thing lacking is access to playlists and the option to navigate through the library, but I guess that's what iTunes is for. I did try "You Control: Tunes," and while being more functional for navigation, it lacks hotkeys for volume control or play/pause, which is ultimately more of a necessity than library navigation.

Very nice iTunes companion!
One suggestion though: How about being able to switch playlists within the menu?
