This software is very interesting and works well. I think the author did a pretty good job here. It only makes me wonder why someone would go to this trouble to generate music that has no social context or history. Doing such is pointless.

Lexikon-Sonate ReviewVery good stuff - Version: 3.1, 8/11/2004 08:46AM PST

The compositions generated by Lexikon-Sonate are surprisingly pleasant and interesting, mainly because of the ingenious manner in which tempo and volume vary and in particular due to a liberal use of pauses and silence. Many composition automatons suffer not from a lack of variety but from an inability to take a breather. Hats off to Herr Essl for this wonderful gift.

potential uses. Many computer programs claim to compose original music on thier own, but Lexicon-Sonate is more advanced than other products, it may not be for making pop music, but actually is making is a complex modern classical composition that is interactive and has many moods, but never repeats exactly. If you are familir with the works of modern composers, you will love Lexicon-Sonate. And even traditionalists will find it soothing and entertaining.

makin those "pling plong" features you so often need for sound fx, video or web.. Transparent max interface, only thing missing is the "write to file" feature. Please keep up the good work.
