Lexikon-Sonate ReviewNice!!! but need more openess too.. - Version: 3.3, 12/23/2009 05:25AM PST

Excellent app but the support only for Quicktime midi libraries is quite bad.
If one could link this to play other piano libraries as Imperfect Samples Braunschweig Upright Pro, Native Instruments Akoustik Piano, East West Sounds Bosendorfer 290 Grand Piano, etc. then this app would be a killer!

Rewire support??

Before in Old Classic OS 9 one could register to attain midi export functions but this has been removed, sad since this could be quite fun to play with and to re-compose the generated stuff..

I would suggest Karlheinz Essl to join the Creative Commons concepts as making an app which people could play around with and make even more music of (from generated midi files..) instead of locking it up..

Lexikon-Sonate CommentaryWon't download - Version: 3.3, 12/22/2009 02:34AM PST

No matter how many times I try, the download of version 3.3 sooner or later mysteriously renames itself 3.2, 3-3.3 and other seemingly-random name changes then stops.

This software is very interesting and works well. I think the author did a pretty good job here. It only makes me wonder why someone would go to this trouble to generate music that has no social context or history. Doing such is pointless.
