Product Description:

BB is a very small, very simple webcam / security camera viewer for Mac OS X. Just give BB the URL of an image and a refresh rate. The latest image will always be visible on your desktop. You can choose to display the image in a normal window, always-on-top, or at the desktop level (below everything else -- even icons, but stays put during Expose). BB is easy on your Mac, and rock-solid stable. It only does one simple thing, but it does it well!

BB is nag-free donation ware. You can use it for as long as you like, never pay for it, and never deal with nag screens or timebombs. The author does request that if you find BB useful, you consider making a small $5-10 contribution to support future efforts.

("Easy on your Mac" means BB takes about 3MB of RAM and uses less than 3% processor for a 320x240 image that updates once per second from a server on the same 100MB LAN segment. YMMV, of course!)

The ability to crop windows would be so kick ass that I would explode.

This little free app really does work well. I have two little windows showing me the exterior of my cabin in Lake Arrowhead, California, which I can have as a desktop picture of any size and any refresh rate. The problem is I'd like to have the cameras turn off between certain hours (at night there's nothing to see) and to be able to send a username and password. If I could get it to do those two things it would be perfect. It does work really well, however, and it's free.

It does everything I had hoped for now (and beyond) and does it very, very well.

I have the 2 "help"s in the menubar with OS 10.3.2. I haven't tested with my udder machines yet. The two "help"s don't hurt anything, so I'm not worred about it myself, really.

Anyway, it now does everything great! Great work... I'm sending the donation in!
