Product Description:

I wrote this because I got tired of Safari's crappy, unusable history interface and lousy auto-completion. This app is tiny; it has no bells and whistles, such as caching your history information or searching the contents of the web pages. It just makes your actual Safari history URLs a lot easier to use. Tiger only. Source code included!

What's new in this version:

  • No new functionality.
  • Slightly modified interface (mostly to make search capabilities clearer).
  • Code rewritten to use Cocoa Bindings and Core Data. Therefore this version requires Tiger.
  • Might run on Intel, but I haven't tried it.
  • Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

    • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC

    Additional Requirements:

    • Mac OS X 10.4 or higher

Thucydides ReviewLike to upgrade my opinion - Version: 1.3, 5/8/2008 04:36AM PST

The opinion I left a couple of years ago was too grumpy and, given the small number of reviews, too influential on the overall rating. This is a VERY limited app, but it does something useful (I wanted specifically to view the time stamps) without trouble. I wish it did a bit more or that I was set up to expand and recompile it. But an app being limited doesn't mean it shouldn't be used, and that's what ratings are really about.

Besides, it has a cool icon and is named after someone I had to look up ("c. 455-400 BC, Greek historian. Remembered for his History of the Peloponnesian War, he fought in the conflict on the Athenian side.")

Thucydides ReviewRuns fine on Mac Pro (intel) - Version: 1.3, 10/26/2007 07:26PM PST

Window is semi sizeable. Great job on a MUCH needed and strangely omitted (non) feature of Safari. How many annoying times I have spent wading through day after day of Safari history... what was that site called again? What day was I researching that?

Thucydides does exactly what its supposed to. Many thanks, Matt!

If I trash the disk image from my desktop after installing Thucydides the program disappears from my hard drive (applictions folder). What am I doing wrong? jrhardin@mindspring.com
