Product Description:

SafariSpeed applies optimizations to Safari that will help to speed up your browsing experience and modifies Safari in other useful ways.

SafariSpeed allows you to easily remove the page loading delay that was built in to Safari. This delay prevents pages from being displayed until a set amount of time passes. By removing this delay, SafariSpeed will allow pages to be displayed as fast as your connection or cache can deliver them.

SafariSpeed also allows you to disable favorite icons - the small pictures displayed next to bookmarks and in your address bar. As you visit websites, Safari "collects" these little icons and stores them. Over time, as this "collection" grows, Safari's habit of searching through all of these icons for the correct one can slow down your browsing. These icons also eat unnecessary disk space.

SafariSpeed can also disable Safari's cache for a further performance boost.

In addition to these performance enhancements, SafariSpeed can be used to toggle PDF support and the debug menu and to switch between Safari's brushed metal and Aqua interfaces.

SafariSpeed Commentary"If you find this application useful, please register it." - Version: 2.1.1, 11/11/2007 10:35AM PST

I would normally e-mail this to the developer, but since the Developer Site link isn't working...

"Please" is something you say when you want a favor. Paying someone for his product is only a favor if the product is overpriced.

"Register it" does not mean "pay for it." Don't use euphemisms. Just tell people how much it costs:

"SafariSpeed is $8."

And skip the part about "If you find this application useful." It should be obvious that if someone doesn't find it useful he's not going to pay for it. ;-)

Bottom line: If you're going to sell your work, don't beg. Provide a good product for a reasonable price and act like it's worth what you charge for it.

SafariSpeed Troubleshooting ReportNeed Someone's Help Please - Version: 2.1.1, 6/14/2007 05:53PM PST

I installed SafariSpeed yesterday, to see what improvements it made. Unfortunately, since then I can no longer open google, myspace, yahoo and a bunch of other sites. The error message is that the server cannot be reached. I can, however, reach hotmail and a lot of Australian websites.

I've also tried deleting the program but am told that I don't have sufficient priveledges to do so...?

If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, could you please email me?

It'd be greatly apprciated.

Brutal
The page loading delay preference is dead and does absolutely nothing in Safari 1.3 and Safari 2.0
