Product Description:

brevePainter is a screensaver module which uses hundreds of tiny "paint brushes" to make painted renditions of JPEG or PNG images. You can choose a set of standard screensaver images, or pick your own custom image file or directory.

Thanks for the note regarding the crash on 10.2. brevePainter has been updated to version 1.1 and the problem has been fixed.

When brevePainter is selected in the Screen Effects pref pane, System Preferences crashes with an "Exception: EXC_BREAKPOINT (0x0006)
