Product Description:
A time/date menu bar app. Admittedly spartan in functionality, it is intended for folks who just want the time and date and not much else in their menu bar clocks.
What's new in this version:
Fixed a problem where timezone changes weren't reflected during normal operation. More formatting options are available (not presets, but actual individual items to include in your custom format). And the colon now blinks. Mind you, ALL included colons in your format will blink, but since most folks use it normally, it shouldn't be a big deal.

Additional Requirements:
- iCal is required only if you use the 'iCal' menu item. Address Book is required only if you use the 'Address Book' menu item.

Thank you very much for this little and nice application, Lynn. It works fine with Tiger (10.4.2) in my PowerMac Dual 1.8GHz (absorb sometimes around 0.10% CPU). Would be great if we could change the font with styles and/or color on time at least. ;-) Again thank you.

Do what it needs to do and seems to do it well. My only complaint is that it hovers around 1% CPU usage on my 17" PB. I am guessing this has to do with the blinking ":". It's certainly not worth 1% CPU for this "feature", maybe it could be made optional?

Hi folks,
The reason you can't move TimeStat around via cmd-drag is that I'm using the public API NSStatusItem, which is the Apple approved method for 3rd party developers to provide items to put up in the menu bar.
3rd party apps that are able to be shuffled around via cmd-drag are using a private API that Apple does not support for 3rd party usage called NSMenuExtra. It is a hack and is not guaranteed to work in future versions of the OS.
I've opted for future compatibility and won't be switching to NSMenuExtra until and unless it becomes a public API. I know that's a sore spot for some of you, but I think it's the appropriate thing to do under the circumstances.
