Stumbled on this AppleScript based program after finding ProTA for technical analysis. This worked really well in combo with ProTA for my level of need. Although individual stock entry process by manual entry in both StockXloader and ProTA is somewhat tedious, but it's well worth the routine given the data feed is free, and covers more international data than some paid subscription service. I highly recommend this program and ProTA if your technical analysis need goes no finer than 20mins delayed daily time scale.
One word of warning though. The current 3.3.4 version is incompatible with Mac OS X 10.5 as noted by the author. An updated version will be introduced at some point in the future. Fingers crossed and maybe some urging would help this process along.

This program works great with ProTA (now available for OSX) stock analysis program. It allows quick downloads of stock, mutual fund and option quotes. It works with out any problems and the developer listens to the customers. I bought this program and use it. I think it is great.
Great Product

I asked for StockXloader to do options and it looks like it is added now. There was a small problem when I up graded to OSX 10.4 and that is now fixed. Really great support. It is worth every nickel and more. I bought it and use it and recommend it. Now if ProTA would come out with an OSX version!
Fast and Stable

I bought it. I use it daily and I'm happy with it. It is stable, easy to use and it works very well with ProTA. I wish it could download options in to ProTA. A bit expensive yes, but worth it. Support is great.
Wow! Expensive - Version: 3.0.5, 1/30/2005 11:16AM PST

Even though I appreciate the making of this program I use "QuoteFiler" (http://homepage.mac.com/c_hines/Software.html) - FREE!
Ask the author for version 1.3X (some reason he only shows v1.2X).
Now if BeeSoft would get off their butts and finish the OSX version (It has been YEARS in the waiting!)

Insane Price

Maybe worth Euro 6.50, but not Euro 65!!! The author is simply insane to charge that much for a simple task that can be done via Apple Script... that's how I get my quotes from Yahoo. I then only have to import them manually, but as I work with ProTA anyway on a daily basis that just means one click on the open-function in the menu bar.
