It took me several glances through the documentation before it finally clicked that the cards don't need to match in all ways or not at all, but that each attribute is considered separately for this. Besides sticking a copy of instructions alongside the app, consider putting one within it that can be accessed from the help menu instead of getting the message "Help isn't available for Zotz." Gameplay is almost soothing - good for idling time - but the graphics aren't. I was surprised when cards finally started disappearing ("Oh, this game actually ends?"). Consider adding a preference that determines the number of replacement cards there is.
This game is stable as a rock, and source is included so that if anyone wants something changed they're free to do so themself (though at the moment I'm using it more as a learning tool).

Might be fun enough if you're REALLY into pattern matching

I found the documentation a little hard to follow, and I didn't get the jist of the game until I used the "reveal" function a couple of times. After that... I suppose people who are really into pattern matching might find it fun, but the lack of a goal, opponent, scoring system with charts (to allow you to play vs. your previous performances) or, really, any opposing force makes it a little dull. Perhaps a timed mode? It's decent enough for something whipped up quickly, but I can't imagine spending much time actually playing it.
Oh, I'd can the fancy folder. I found it confusing; for a moment I thought it had launched the game.

No, thanks. That was one of the features I didn't like about the original implementation of this game.

Did so.

I can't help that. The instructions are clear and correct, and provide examples of right and wrong triads.

The help was removed from the app because the application source code is provided. If the app had included the help, the download would have included it twice: once inside the app, once in the source code. The pictures are large, so this would have greatly increased the size of the download. I didn't want to do that. If it really bothers you, it is a simple matter to put the help in the package and adjust the .plist file.

Did Not Read The Directions. Bad dog, no biscuit. The help says clearly there are 81 cards (it's impossible to have a "preference" - 81 is 3 to the fourth power, think about it) and explains how the game ends and what happens when it does.
