Product Description:
Namely lets you get to all your applications quickly by typing part of their name. It will show you a list of matches and you keep typing to narrow them down. Actually, two or three letters are enough most of the time. When you've found what you're looking for, hit Return to launch it.
What's new in this version:
- Fixed a possible crasher with some keyboard layouts (e.g. HungarianPro) when opening the preferences. However, you won't be able to see the chosen activation key when using these layouts.
- Now updates the display of the activation key in the Preferences when you switch keyboard layouts.
- No longer logs a message to the Console when you press the activation key combo.
- Added Traditional Chinese localisation (thanks to Jack Ming-Hung Lin).
- Added German localisation.

The developer's site is gone. The download link is dead. This item needs to be retired and removed from Version tracker.

With Leopards improvements and a current model laptop, I can bring spotlight up (apple+space) and as soon as i type the beginning of an app name it comes to the top and highlights itself, literally instantly. The enter key then opens it. I realize that this Namely only searches applications, but I don't see why anyone would want a faster search than spotlight. It's literally instantaneous for me.

Have tried several times to open the app but ut won't respond and I need to ForceQuit :-(
