Product Description:
youPod allows you to use your Music Library, iCalendars, AddressBook, Keychain and Browser bookmarks on another Mac, just like you were at home by syncing this information to your iPod. youPod even publishes your iPod as an iTunes Music Share when you're away! youPod allows you to pick what you want to take with you and smoothly integrates into your home system, as well as guest accounts or other machines, without drivers, reboots, admin priviledges or "hacks." Additionally, youPod can run scripts automatically at home when you insert your iPod, eject it, or both.

What's new in this version:
- youPod v1.2.1 adds "Dirty Quit" protection
If youPod detects that it was not cleanly quit on an "Away" machine, youPod notifies the user and creates a "youPod Restored Files" folder on the Desktop, and moves any youPod backup files it finds to the this folder, along with instructions for restoring he "Away" account properly to help avoid data loss. - iTunes Music Sharing Changes:
youPod now names the file links in the youMusic folder with more "Unix friendly" names. This helps youPod add more songs for iTunes Music Sharing. Files with broken tags are still skipped, however. - Five additional redundancy checks have been added to further ensure data integrity on "Away" machines.
- Non-blocking copies:
All copies involving multiple files are now multithreaded in "Home" mode to avoid the "Beachball" cursor. - "Everything" Recursive copy bug addressed:
A condition that could cause youPod to copy over and over again on some machines whens was reported. The 'Everything' Button in 'Home' mode has been temporarily disabled.

Great concept, good documentation and simple operation... it's just too bad the software SUCKS!!! After watching their interactive QuickTime instructional video and following the directions the application over-wrote the favorites file for Internet Explorer on a different Mac with my favorites file when the application was run. Major malfunction and can cost you to lose everything in your iCal, Address Book, Mail, iTunes and favorties for Safari, Explorer and FireFox if it operates as it did. DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM, IT DOES NOT WORK!

Seriously. I downloaded it today, used it and worked exactly as predicted. So pleas ladies and gentlemen here, WHAT IS WRONG?
I can only recommend it. But even with that, try it first. Maybe some systems are prone to failures with youPod…

I only wish a better docu, there were a few points i could not understand from the docs alone. But AIM based support really works fine. And the amount of data which is stored on my 30 GB Pod is acceptable ...
Try it and use it. I think it is worth the fee
