iMailist CommentarySo close, yet so far . . . . - Version: 2.0.8, 8/13/2007 09:40AM PST

I have to agree with the 'jamesedwelland' and 'jasonhelman26' that this program is near useless without any form of instructions. As someone who has ben professionally involved with software since 92+, I have to say even this has got me scratching my head. 'Did the message go, or didn't it?' Geez, a progress bar (or something) and a confirmation message would help. Simple set up instructions would also be a blessing.

What happened to a 'Bcc' field? How about some drag'n'drop capability to fill the addressing fields.

Nice concept, (I really like it alot!) but there still is too many rough edges even for an experienced user. As much as I WANT this to work, I have to say: "Not ready for prime time yet." (I will continue to fiddle with it, as time goes by.)

Maybe the developer can give us some insight here??

iMailist Reviewno online help - Version: 2.0.8, 1/22/2007 04:22AM PST

Could be a great application - but as everyone else notes and the developer seems to ignore, any application is usless unless users can use it. Basic CORRECT (even the very basic help is wrong) help is a minimum requirement. Its such a shame that all the work is wasted.

It may be simple, but I could not get it to send even after exhaustive variations in smtp window. Without instructions, I dont know if i am being dumb or there is a prob with the app

iMailist Usage Tipfill in your outgoing server - Version: 2.0.8, 10/26/2006 04:34AM PST

I saw some comments on this program wich I find uncorrect. The error it gives makes sense because you should first go to PREFERENCES and fill in your outgoing server. My comment on this free program: Superb!!! Easy in use and does just what you expect it to do.

iMailist ReviewNo help section for 1st time users - Version: 2.0.8, 12/22/2005 08:43AM PST

No help section or instruction to help end users who have never used an html based mailing program before. No instructions on how to set SMTP up. Tried several mailings as a test and error messages were impossible to send mail. Received an email to myself with SMTP set but does not work to other addresses.

iMailist CommentaryGarbled text and broken links - Version: 2.0.8, 12/4/2005 01:31PM PST

- Apostrophes and other text end up garbled (but look fine on the web page).
- Links are often broken in baffling ways.

I like how light and easy to use the application is, but this app doesn’t get important things like text and links right.

iMailist CommentaryKeeps saying "SMTP address not valid" - Version: 2.0.8, 11/9/2005 08:11AM PST

Looks like a good app, but I can't send anything. It doesn't seem to accept numerical addresses to the SMTP server.

iMailist ReviewWonderfull, this is the best I've seen in long time - Version: 2.0.8, 8/2/2005 04:04PM PST

The app works fabulous, on condition that you have no other email programs open at the time you want to send something.
For the rest I can only give this 5 stars.
Thanks

This app is THE BEST FREE html emailer around! My previous review mentioned that I couldn't get it to work, he helped me though it, it was my bad.
