LaunchBar ReviewCan't live without it. - Version: 4.3.7, 6/6/2008 08:23PM PST

I am so used to LaunchBar that I try to type application names on other computers that don't have it installed, and can't figure out why it's not working. This is a great application that just keeps getting faster. I don't need most of the fancy functions, but it's nice to know that they are there. As some have pointed out, Spotlight functions in a similar manner. However, it is not as quick, not as accurate, and does not allow for custom items or pruning of items. I can't use my Mac without LaunchBar.

LaunchBar Troubleshooting ReportStupid install process, great app... - Version: 4.3.7, 4/8/2008 04:02PM PST

Great app, have been using for years.

However, in recent versions there is a really stoopid/annoying bug:
Double clicking on the download (LaunchBar-4.3.7.dmg.bz2.bz) creates a file (LaunchBar-4.3.7.dmg.bz2).
Double clicking on this creates another file (LaunchBar-4.3.7.dmg.bz2.cpgz) which when double clicked creates a copy of the previous file (LaunchBar-4.3.7.dmg 2.bz2), which leads to an endless loop of creating these files.

REALLY ANNOYING

Of course, the solution is to remove the ".bz2" extension after double-clicking the initial file, to change it to a .dmg file that mounts properly.

THIS SHOULD REALLY BE FIXED, IT STUPID AND UNNECESSARY.
Otherwise great app :D

Is it just me but has anyone else found that you have to rename/remove the ".bz" suffix from the end of the download file to be able to uncompress the ".bz2" file and get at the disk image.

If I try to uncompress the download as-is no disk image appears, just a folder containing a file called "Content"

Otherwise a fantastic product!
