Product Description:
Mail Factory is a program for designing and printing envelopes, postcards, address and shipping labels on your Macintosh. It integrates with virtually all databases including Mac OS X Address Book, MS Entourage, Now Contact and FileMaker Pro. The application has embedded databases for editing and storing addresses. The program features a lot of ready-made label, envelope and postcard designs and various effects for images, including masks, opacity control, shadow effects. Its flexible merge printing functionality is tailored for mass mailing needs. You can print on labels from most popular companies, such as Avery, APLI, A-One, and more, or use it with your DYMO (LabelWriter-series), Seiko (SLP-series) and Brother (QL-series) label printers.
What's new in this version:
- Support for paper layouts with vertical labels improved (such as Avery L7169, Avery 5168).
- Object alignment was added (Align and Distribute in Format menu).
- Pasting objects from other BeLight Software applications added.
- Choice of recent documents becomes available in Assistant.
- Postcards search in Assistant tuned up.
- Bug with disabled FIM code fixed.
- Birthday field from Address Book was added into Address Field list.
- Problem with disappearing URL field on import from Address Book solved.
- Printing Counter field on label rolls fixed (Dymo, Seiko, etc.)
- Print dialog preview works faster.

Becareful - I have not been able to get L&A to work - at all - Version: 1.3.3, 11/30/2009 12:04PM PST

I have been a fan of Belight's products and own several. But L&A, so far is unusable. Virtually anything I try to get it to do, results in the spinning ball and a force quit. Printing to an Epson R260 or R280 was impossible. Changing groups in the Address Book link was impossible. Yes, support answered right away, even sent a link to version 1.5 that I downloaded. That, too, failed to work. I'm running a MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard. Every other application works just fine. They all print just fine. I would stay away from this product until it becomes reliable.

I personally downloaded and tested 9 barcode programs and found this one to be easy, friendly and exactly what I needed for my manufacturing business. We were asked by one of our large distributors to place barcoded labels on all our products. we only had two weeks to get this ready. many of the programs were difficult to understand and did not provide an easy way to create great looking labels. Labels & Addresses did everything we required, with graphics, pictures, barcodes, data fields and all in an easy to understand layout.
When we had questions their support team and forum answered us quickly and with some of the best service I have ever known. For a company in the Ukraine I was impressed with the way they explained and sent samples, a short movie file that took me step by step through the process.
I would recommend this to anyone.

I downloaded the update from the link provided. As the pkg. installer launches, and after you supply your password, I received a pop up window saying ...."The source media you are installing from is damaged. Try installing from a different copy of the source media or contact the manufacturer for a replacement."
