Girc ReviewNice Little Gadget - Version: 1.3, 12/1/2006 04:12AM PST

I really like Girc! With iTunes hidden or minimised I keep this in a cornerof the screen to tell me what's playing. The new version (1.3) has finally fixed a bug which meant it wouldn't finish loading on my wife's machine: works just fine for her too now!

My first thought upon seeing the "Girc" listed in VT? "Ah, a new IRC client, a Graphical IRC client, I guess." Then I saw it's some kind of iTunes controller.

Meh. Poor name, kinda chunky-looking. I'll stick to Synergy, thanks.

Developer definitely has more to do, but I like this already. Has a space in the top right of my screen reserved for the next few hours at the least. Fast and easy enough. Not complicated. I like that.

Only complaint is that it seems like it won't pay certain selections, just does nothing. Anyone else? Not too annoying though, because you make it so easy to select a different song ;)
