Product Description:
Time and Budgets enables users to seamlessly convert their appointment calendars to dollars and cents, monitor project budgets, and print time sheets. This new release features TaBulator widgets, seamless connectivity for Microsoft Outlook users (previously enjoyed only by Apple iCal fans), new tools for data export and MYOB integration, as well an upgraded CORE report engine. With this release, tracking and billing for time is now as simple as keeping your appointment book up-to-date, with no additional software required.
What's new in this version:
Time and Budgets version 1.2 includes new technology as well as upgrades to existing features. The upgrade, available online now, includes these highlights:
Seamless Microsoft Outlook / Exchange Integration
Microsoft Outlook users can now enjoy the same seamless flow of data into TaB that Apple iCal users enjoy. Outlook users need only enter their time and appointments into Outlook, and their data will flow seamlessly into TaB.
Support for New TaBulator Widgets
A new way to look at your critical project data! TaBulator widgets are small, stand-alone applications that connect to your TaB account and display your project information in real time. Two new widgets are available for immediate download free of charge.
Upgraded Export Tools
TaB's export tools have been upgraded, enabling users to export data to the screen or to a text file.
MYOB integration Support
Exporting data is now possible in a format designed to import into MYOB.
Upgraded CORE Report Screens
TaB's CORE reporting technology has been upgraded in numerous ways, including speed increased, better performance for projects with million dollars budgets, and complete support for project phases.
Better Support for Multiple Budgets
TaB now supports multiple budgets per project, and only budgets with an "Active" status will show in reports. This enables you to "mix and match" budgets as needed, and to keep old budgets intact for future reference.
Start of Week Preference Added
Users can now choose to view TaB reports based on a user-selectable start of the work-week.
Upgraded Security
Full 128 KB encryption has been implemented accross all TaB tools.
Miscellaneous Refinements
This upgrade features many small refinements to all TaB tools, including refinements to improve functionality while running under a wider range of web browsers.

Great for Billing and Client Communication

I have 35 projects and preferred support clients set up with TaB. Tracking activities through iCal is dirt simple. Setting up client access is a breeze. The clients love to see the documentation of work done. They feel in control and I don't have to try to remember what I did 5 weeks ago. The Konfabulator widgets allow me to find appropriate project numbers and phases. Support has been fast and accurate. Feedback has been listened to and acted upon. The product just keeps getting better and better.

Clever integration with Apple iCal and Microsoft Outlook. Great user interface, very clean. Works as advertised. Support very responsive. Quickbooks integration had to be fine tuned by supoport to work with me Quickbooks -- could be better. Overall a solid solution.
The biggest plus is the Small Town Software people. They have come up with several revisions to meet my business needs ... large and small. Right now I have over 30 projects with multiple phases on each project.
My customers , Mac and PC, really love the ability to get real time reports on the work I do for them via a simple web browser. Plenty of report views .... with either time or money .... for the admin and a super-simple interface for even even the novice computer user, usually CEOs and accountants :-)
Love this product and the team that supports it. I give it a TEN stars out of five.

Last week ( around Sept 20 2004 ) they came out with a Konfabulator widget called "Tabulator" .... you should check out this for your desktop for immediate access to your projects. Tiger compatible ....
