Product Description:
Mac3DWatch is a special ScreenSaver for MacOS X 10.3 or higher delivering RSS news feeds (it has been the first one in its category). It shows a live and spinning 3D metal watch synchronized with your local system watch, plus, optionally (in an overlaid scrolling text) your favourite and customizable RSS news feeds and Stock Quotes news feeds. So whenever the screensaver comes out, more than the local time, you will see your favourite latest RSS news scrolling on your screen. Simply hit the keys from 0 to 99 to select the channel you want to see. The user can also set up to 99 alarms which will play a sound a list of songs or an iTunes playlist at a given time.
What's new in this version:
- Mac3DWatch is now compliant with MacOS X 10.5 Leopard.
- This is a free upgrade for all the version 1 registered users.

Keeps crashing System Preferences while testing the screen saver's stock quote feed. Video very jerky on ATI9600xt rv360 on PPC G5, use to be smooth under Tiger. This version got worse.

The supported graphics cards I guess are higher-end upgrades. I tried Mac3DWatch on my iMac G5, but apparently the Ultra version of GeForce FX5200 is needed. The RSS feed only worked the first time the screensaver ran. After that, just the spinning clock. When I attempted to reset the options for it, System Preferences crashed. I suspect the crash is a direct result of having Mac3DWatch in the screensaver folder. Once I deleted all related files, no more crashes. The developer did respond to my inquiry and I tried his suggestions, but the same thing occurred. Too bad. It is pretty.
