Office Power Pack ReviewHello ! Any One Home? - Version: 1.1, 9/4/2006 02:23PM PST

By shareware standards this software is expensive! Purchasers are entitled to expect some response from the vendors, especially since they offer a money back guarantee etc.

Well, my emails went completely unanswered despite several attempts. So those tempted to buy this package with a grand name, are likely to find themselves on their own ! This should worry the Real Basic people because this software appears to be written in Real Basic and is sold from a website prominently displaying the Real Basic logo.

Several times since buying the Office power pack I have wondered which planet the authors live on? They have not even allowed the invoicing part to apply the British Pound and Euro symbols to be used in generating Invoices, never mind the currencies for the rest of the world !!!!!

Clearly this software is useful in allowing some degree of integration of Microsoft Office with Apple's own built-in software like iCal. There is a need for this. There are many who have to use Microsoft office for various reasons on the Mac. It would be nice if MS themselves built in the integration as Apple's own software does.

The so-called Power pack attemts to address this gap and succeeds to some extent, without going far enough to be recommended.

Support is sadly lacking. Therefore it may be described as 'disappointing software with potential'.

Over-priced at present and suitable only for those who MUST have the functionality. I hope Real Basic will apply some influence on the authors else their reputation could also suffer. I am thinking of asking for my money back !!!

Purchased and downloaded without issue, however during the installation it crashes the installer. I noticed it does not ask for my administrator password and wonder if it's crasing due to permision issues. Anyone else with problems?
