It's a basic game of Minesweeper. Nothing complicated, no flashy graphics or sound, just the game. Good stuff, and a fun way to kill time.
So-so

Simplicity is, perhaps, the major selling point of this game. It is fairly ugly and amateurish, but it works nicely. There are much nicer-looking minesweeper-type games like Dangerous Mines that have exceptional graphics, sound effects, and a variety of games. They are not free, however.
None beat an old OS 7 game whose name I cannot remember. It had levels of difficulty and progressive play--level after level, with increasing difficulty. The puzzles were NOT rectangular, for the most part. You had multiple lives and could earn lives through scoring and bonuses. (It was NOT Manic Minefields, which had teenager-style graphics.)

Unlike the developer, I will complain about this version. First the good: nice sound effects-- the chime, even the batteship sounds. The not-so-good: I guess I'm used to the smilie that you can easily click on to start a new game, rather than having to pan over and click on "new game", which is a bit boring in itself. How about a Risk-style cannon or something to click on instead? Most importantly, one should be able to click on surrounding numbers once it's clear where the mine is, in order to expose empty spaces. This version is tedious in that regard, where you have to click on each square separately. I prefer the classic-looking minesweeper widget at this time, but the sound effects on this one increase the rating by a star.
