I just finished the solo levels, and the only word I can say is "wow"!
I must confess I never thought an open source project based on marathon would reach a quality level comparable to the original three ones that I absolutely love... but you made it! A compelling story with enough twists and worth reading terminals with influence inside the game; a wery well designed, neither too short nor too long, beautiful levels with aleph one-specific features that made me blink, astounded; nice graphics and textures; more weapons than I can remember in any FPS that I've played; hours and hours of fun and almost addiction...
So, in a word, wow!

Le Mort level fix - Version: 3.0, 5/29/2007 11:46AM PST

There is a problem in the Le Mort level. If you do not explore both nests, and enter Kronos, you will not be able to exit the level. There is a new Quest map file available that fixes this. You only need this new map file if you get stuck in Le Mort.

Replace your current Quest file with this one. The bug has been fixed, and there is also now Lua code that will teleport you out of that room no matter what. After replacing your Quest file, do the following:
1. Restore from your saved game.
2. Re-save the game.
3. Quit and restore from your new saved game.
4. Jump on the teleporter, and you should go to the next level.

I just discovered an MML bug in For the Love of Mother. As soon as you get to this level, you will crash with an "XML" error dialog. I have already fixed the MML bug, and uploaded a new Quest replacement file. Please download the replacement file from:

When I submit the 3b8 update, I forgot to update the download link, so the 3b8 download link was originally wrong. It linked to a pre-3b8 alpha release, and should *not* be used. I think there's about 10 people who downloaded that.
Then, when I updated the download link, I provided a sourceforge file listing, but versiontracker automatically grabbed the first link on that listing, which is only the application, not the full scenario. Looks like another 10 people may have grabbed that. Hopefully the correct download link will be updated soon, but for now, here is a link to SourceForge which has all of the EMR 3b8 download links.

For those who are having problems unstuffing the .bin archive, before you try re-downloading the entire archiving, be sure that you have the latest Stuffit Expander 9. The archive was compressed with Stuffit 9, so you'll need Expander 9 to decompress. You can get it for free right here on versiontracker.

A few things to note about this 7th beta, but first thanks to those who are providing encouraging feedback. There is still much more to come, as we are continually improving more textures to hi-res, and adding new features such as fog. Hope you all get the chance to adventure through the new Mists of Avalon map. Now on to the notes...
1. Yes, we are aware of the problems with mousing under the AlephOne engine. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about this. Hopefully, soon, AlephOne's mousing support on OS X will be improved. If there are any developers out there that would like to help, please do so!
2. The "Morgana Map" that was put into this latest beta package is actually not the latest map. Please download the latest map from here:

This is the first time i've played this under OSX and wow i'm blown away by this in two ways. First the positive way - THANK YOU!! Because I can still play your great conversion with my new G5!!!
Buuuuut where is the mouse support? I hear this was impossible the last time it was discussed? Or maybe that was the tweaking or configuring of the mouse support??? I can't remember, but it's impossible for me to play with the mouse when i cannot do a simple invert - so i'm stuck with the kbrd from now on. Oh dear
oh and it crashed on me once! But i assume this is an aleph one error, so i'll grab the latest build asap

still xcellent and still gr8 to play. Wish i could use the mouse and invert the axis too. Looking forward to that mouse smoothing also! ;p

half way through and am trying not to play too fast because I don't want it
to end. Everything is so much better than when I first played EMR years ago,
I love the fog, textures, creatures, everything! What more can I say but thankyou
