Product Description:

Nicotine is a SoulSeek client written in Python, based on the PySoulSeek project by Alexander Kanavin. It features, among other things, a completely rewritten graphical user interface which uses the PyGTK-2 toolkit and a less strict user request policy.

Nicotine is a feature complete client for the SoulSeek filesharing network. You can use it to upload, download, search and chat. You can keep a "buddy" list and basically everything else a SoulSeek client is supposed to do. If you are familliar with PySoulSeek, you'll probably notice a striking resemblance in appearance. Okay... I download the Application, it then becomes a folder, I execute the application itself, X11 starts shortly thereafter... Nicotine icon goes away(gets closed?), I get then a terminal window for commands... ? No interface...
Does this application NOT work on Intel based Macs?

My X11 is configured correctly and works, but this just opens X11 and a terminal. No interface. Tried several times.

I have no idea what this application is. I thought it was a normal P2P, but it's one of those geekware X11 things. I can tell you that it opens just fine in OS 10.4.2. I just don't know what to do with it after that.
