It's amazing that there aren't more choices for simple cover makers. Among the ones that do exist, this is my favorite. Fast, inexpensive, and fairly intuitive, although a bit convoluted in places. The license scheme is obnoxious - having to email the developer for a new key when he releases an update. No other software I own requires this. The "mosaic" thing doesn't offer enough flexibility when doing compilations of various artists, and often comes up with duplicated artwork at multiple places in the mosaic rather than choosing unique art even when it's available. I'd also like to see the ability to simply import my own custom artwork at any point to override the albums' own art. As another reviewer pointed out, being able to save formats would be a big plus.

MyCoverCD ReviewIntuitive, with a solid feature set - Version: 3.0.4, 4/3/2006 01:26AM PST

I don't understand the low rating; I tried several CD label apps in this price range and this was the best. Full featured, flexible, and extremely intuitive; I didn't need to consult the documentation at all. What set MCCD apart was it's power to process and style any text you want on the CD - it's hard to believe but this is not a common feature. Other label apps just put the iTunes track list on your CD cover and if you want more then too bad.

MCCD does lack the ability to pull CD covers off the internet, but this is a small oversight to me. I usually search for the album liner notes using Safari and grab the cover art while I'm at it.

The one shortcoming of MCCD is that it cannot save CD covers in its own format, printing PDF or EPS files instead. This oversight means that if one desires to edit a label after shutting MCCD down, the label must be started over from scratch. Not cool. This is a crippling limitation that relegates MCCD to "occasional use" status. When MCCD gets its very own file format for saving CD labels, it will be a powerful 5 star app.

MyCoverCD ReviewThe best for audio covers - Version: 3.0.3, 3/6/2006 01:59PM PST

iTunes itself can do a print in several way's (lists can be usefull) but you can't adjust tekst / style / colour / saturation (but sometimes it'll do)

With this you have much more control about how the cover should look. Coverart can be used in different ways, you can adjust the saturation / mosaïc. It gives a clean cover, no print 'made with MCCD' on it.

Retyping / deleting parts of the tekst, changing colour / size.
Changes applie to selected tekst so on one cover you can have different sizes / colour.
It's in fact a small wordprocessor!

It works fast and easy (just try all the buttons, you see immediately what happens)

Don't know why this only got 3 stars. Tried other app's for audio covers, If you like to make covers for audio or mp3 cd's from iTunes, this one's the best!

Fair price and the developer is very responsive too.
