Product Description:

Boinx FotoMagico lets you create professional slideshows from your photos and music with just a few, simple mouse clicks. It sports a very clean and intuitive yet powerful user interface. High image quality, fast performance, and user flexibility were some of the design goals for this application.

Create the most spectacular slideshows:

  • Scale, move, rotate, zoom or pan around your images to highlight that part that matters the most.
  • Your slides fit together perfectly with the new, gorgeous transitions.
  • Provide more meaning with subtle titles here and there.

Perform a breathtaking show:

  • Your slideshow uses the best possible resolution of your presentation device.
  • Use large displays, HDTV screens and other high resolution devices.
  • Even on a VGA projector, your photos will look better with FotoMagico.

Your audience will want to take it home:

  • Burn DVDs of your slideshow with iDVD or Roxio Toast.
  • Put your slideshow on the new iPod.
  • Export in almost any QuickTime format.

Your audience will never fall asleep again.

What's new in this version:

  • Support for Apple Remote (Tiger only)
You may now use the Apple Remote delivered with recent Macs to control your slideshow.
  • More overlay information
When pressing a key on the keyboard or the Apple Remote to influence the presentation of a slideshow more status will be displayed in a small overlay (bezel). This can be turned off in the preferences.
  • Massive Drag&Drop support
You can now drop image files, audio files and even text files onto the various parts of the FotoMagico main window to browse images, insert images or audio at the playhead or in the storyboard or even to add a title to a slide by dropping a Text Edit (rtf or rtfd) file onto the stage area.
  • GarageBand Integration (GarageBand 3 only)
There's a new export preset that generates a movie and opens it in a new GarageBand project. Then compose your soundtrack and save the project. If you have the option "Render iLife Preview" activated in GarageBand you may also Drag & Drop the resulting GarageBand song directly into the FotoMagico storyboard to add the mix back to your slideshow.
  • German Localization
Application and Help have been completely localized into German language.
  • Photos not stored outside the iPhoto 6 library would not be found.
  • A bug where export would not honour the export color space has been fixed.
  • A few more small and not so small bug fixes.

3.01 solves the main crashes on my Mac, makes me happy! Now, support for the NVIDIA seems to be Apples's problem: waiting for 10.5.7
So, I change my opnion based on this update: it works fine now it seems!

Boinx FotoMagico Commentary10.5 only - Version: 3.0, 5/11/2009 05:03AM PST

I believe the new version of Fotomagico (3.0) will only work with OS 10.5, not 10.4.
Your descriptors should be changed.

Boinx FotoMagico CommentaryVersion 2 works perfectly! - Version: 3.0, 5/6/2009 01:17PM PST

As version 3 crashes the moment I add something to the timeline, I got an older version 2 to test: works perfectly on my Mac, any configuration.
So: for some reason version 3 broke something that was fine in version 2...(!)
