Thanks for new features, they are great.

However , for me, the music is the same as it has always been.
Do I need to download a sound file?

Phoenix Ball Commentaryfine game for the price - Version: V1.52, 3/1/2008 10:38AM PST

I'm enjoying Phoenix ball. I'm grateful that the music can be turned off, and that there is a choice of easy-medium-hard, allowing everyone to be challenged but not too frustrated. I do wish there were a pause feature.

Also, occasionally there is a glitch where the field appears to be cleared, yet the level does not end. If I keep playing, I usually find one or two "invisible" solid bricks that do not clear when hit. There is no way to pass the level at this point, including spending a life. You have to end the game. Anyone else experience this? It stinks when you have a great game going and lots of lives left.

Other than that a decent game for the price.

This game hooked me almost from the first moment I played it; I paid for it happily and don't regret it. The game play hits that sweet spot between simple (enought to avoid frustration) and challenging (enough to keep from being bored), and there's a lot of surprising inventiveness: missiles, some unique penalties, and a level that's a tribute to Our Favorite Fruit Company. Perhaps best of all, the game is moddable out the wazoo; start poking around the Resources folder and you can change practically everything. Nice job! (Oh yeah, other posters are right: the music sucks. There also needs to be an option to disable sound effects.)
