Yes, FCP had and still has Boris Calligraphy included - you see them as Title 3D and Title Scroll, I believe. Calligraphy can be viewed as an "ultra lite" application derived from Boris FX. Boris Continuum Complete 3 is an excellent group of over 150 video filters, generators, and transitions for use with FCP, Avid, and a number of other editing systems. For me, it amounted to most of what I was using Boris RED for, only easier. I maintain both applications and use them heavily.

Understand this about Boris products: They are pricey, require some skill and a mindset to use, and are definitely not for the "one click" crowd. However, the same is true of Ferraris and Porsches... Boris makes some of the best effects software available on this particular planet.

If you play hardball on FCP, you owe it to yourself to try out Boris products. If you only use FCP because it sounds cooler than iMovie, well... whatever...

Apple did not buy Boris FX (Artel).
