A very useful bunch of web utilities - if you do a lot of research via the web, AWS is likely to be invaluable.

I must be older than dirt and twice as dumb. I didn't understand anything that was said here. Oh well, back into my hole I go.

The services menu is inherited from NeXtstep. Services are available to ALL Cocoa applications and useable with Carbon applications that have been specifically programmed to support services. Its almost guaranteed that IE will never support this but Firefox and iCab may add this feature one day. Time to move up in the world and use Camino, Omnibrowser or Safari.

The menus are grayed out in: Firefox,Mozilla. Camino has no problems even though it is "Gecko" based. Opera has no problems with graying out of the menus either. Anyone know why ???

I can't get Services to work in Firefox 1.0 . All services are shown but the menus are greyed out. I really would like them to work as Firefox 1.0 is my default browser. I am using 10.3.6. Maybe something in Firefox preferences has been overlooked but I can't find it. Any help would really be appreciated.

Can someone tell me how to do this? I put in Google.com/mac in the URL and then added the string that is the same as the Google search string but it just doesn't work. I know I have done something wrong but can't figure it out.

I can't get this to work. After installing the ACP.services folder into Library/Services (I had to make the folder), I run the application and am told that a property list file is missing. I've tried 1.1.2, 1.2, 1.2a, and 1.4 with the same result.

The best group of services I know of, by far! And it's free! And these guys are very good blokes indeed, very helpful.
(Just remember you should highlight a URL, not a piece of text, to get a translation - of the whole page.)
Don't think, just get the thing!

ACP Web Services ReviewTranslations working fine! - Version: 1.2, 6/9/2004 03:56PM PST

Uh - you're not putting us on, right? For surely you figured when "it" said "invalid URL" that you weren't yourself highlighting a valid URL? Hello? :) The translations all go to Google and they all seem to be working fine. But they want URLs to translate, as it more or less told you. This must have been a put on.
